Episode 11: Mother Nature

Mother Nature has always been our first teacher.

From Gaia to Terra Mater, cultures revered Earth as a life-giver, a source of cycles, renewal and balance.

Zürich’s own founding story carries this truth.

In the 9th century, Hildegard and Berta, two visionary pious sisters of aristocratic descent, followed a luminous stag to the Limmat and founded the Fraumünster Abbey.

Over time, the abbey became an international gathering place for intellectual women.

A hub of trade and justice.

By the 11th century, its abbess even had the power to mint coins.

Creation, society, value built and nested in the feminine leadership.

Today, climate change shows us what happens when we forget those lessons of balance and renewal.

✨ Reflective imaginative question:

If Mother Nature gave you a coin today, how would you invest it?
